    ATKG In Action: ATKG Partners with Kinetic Kids

    ATKG has always been a firm that believes in giving back. We have enjoyed building homes for Habitat for Humanity, Cleaning up CAMP after the winter storm, hosting blood drives for the blood bank, and many other activities in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. ATKG is fortunate to have a team passionate about making the communities we live in a better place, so we decided to take that passion one step further. ATKG is proud to launch its Charity of Choice program, where we choose a non-profit to partner with, deepen our relationship and build with the selected organization. At the end of 2021, we surveyed our team to determine what causes they wanted to focus on, and we had a tremendous interest in causes that helped children with disabilities. After research and visits to several great non-profits, ATKG is thrilled to announce that we will partner with Kinetic Kids.

    Kinetic Kids’ mission is to enrich the lives of children with special needs and their families through sports, fine arts, and educational programs to foster the development of courage, confidence, fitness, pride, joy, and community. They are the premier and recognized leader in adaptive sports, fine arts, and educational programming. Kinetic Kids are children with special needs who need a way to participate, a place to belong, and a chance to shine. The organization helps their kinetic kids overcome their daily struggles by adapting sports and recreational programs to their individual needs. They offer programs year-round and have a physical, occupational, or recreational therapist on-site for every program.

    Our team is thrilled to start volunteering with this wonderful organization. CAS Advanced Staff Sandy Winkley summed it up perfectly: “ATKG is excited to partner with Kinetic Kids as our Charity of Choice. It was apparent during our initial meeting that our two organizations would be a great fit! Their programs are structured to accommodate all children with disabilities and allow for volunteering opportunities for the whole family. Their philosophy mirrors our five core values, and we are excited to see this partnership grow.”
